Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the BluePill Emulator software ("the Software") provided by EMU MCU Technologies S.R.L., [registered address, CUI/registration number] ("we", "us").

License grant

On purchase you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for the edition and number of seats you bought. A seat permits activation on one machine. Free edition usage is permitted without purchase under these terms.

Activation

Paid editions require one-time online activation, which binds your license key to the device and enforces the seat limit. You agree not to circumvent activation, share keys beyond your seat count, or reverse-engineer the Software except where such restriction is prohibited by law.

Updates

Pro includes [1 year] of updates from the purchase date; perpetual editions continue to run after that period without new updates. Team and subscription terms are stated at checkout.

Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all intellectual property rights. Third-party components are used under their respective licenses (see Third-Party Licenses in the app).

Warranty & liability

The Software is provided "as is". The emulator approximates hardware behavior and is not a substitute for validation on physical devices; we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of simulated results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months. [Adjust to your jurisdiction.]

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, with disputes subject to the courts of [Bucharest], without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

Trademarks

STM32 and related marks are trademarks of STMicroelectronics. This product is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by STMicroelectronics.

Refund Policy

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record; refunds are issued through them.

Try before you buy

A free edition and a 7-day Trial of full features are available so you can evaluate the Software before purchasing.

14-day refund

If the Software does not work as described, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected] with your order number. EU/UK consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases; by activating a paid license within that period you may be asked to consent to begin supply immediately, which can affect that right. [Confirm wording with a lawyer.]

What isn't refunded

We may decline refunds for keys that have been activated and used beyond reasonable evaluation, or where abuse is detected.

Privacy Policy

We aim to collect as little as possible. The Software is designed to run offline after activation.

What we process

At activation: when you activate a paid license, the app sends your license key and a device fingerprint (a one-way hash derived from your machine, not personal files) to our activation service and to Lemon Squeezy's license API, solely to validate the key and enforce seat limits. After activation the app does not phone home.

At purchase: Lemon Squeezy, as Merchant of Record, processes your payment and billing details and issues your tax invoice. We receive order metadata (name, email, product, country) to provide support and licensing. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for their processing.

Email: we use your email to send your license key, receipts, and essential service messages. [State whether you send any marketing and how to opt out.]

What we do not collect

The Software does not transmit your source code, project files, or firmware. Telemetry is [off by default / not collected].
